Mallory rogers, BSW, MSW, LCSW-A

THERAPIST FOR CHILDREN, TEENS, ADULTS & FAMILIES

Pronouns: she/her

Mallory is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Associate in the State of North Carolina and founder of Longleaf Counseling & Collaboration, PLLC. She founded this practice with the vision that every individual deserves access to mental health care - and, a space to feel heard, validated, challenged at times, and seen through an authentic lens and modern therapy experience.

Mallory works with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma - in particular, she works with those who have experienced sexual abuse, child abuse, child neglect, and who are victims of violent crime. She is fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and other trauma modalities - and believes fully in a collaborative environment of other professionals, support systems, etc in place to assist a person in healing.

Additionally she works with individuals struggling with anxiety, substance abuse, self esteem & self compassion, family conflict and communication, navigating separation and divorce for families with children, boundary setting, self harm, step down from Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs, and women’s health. She provides individual and family therapy in person in Raleigh, NC and virtually to any resident located in the State of NC utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, strengths based and solution focused modalities, and motivational interviewing.

Mallory fosters an empathetic, compassionate and direct therapeutic space - but, most importantly, it feels authentic - a space where you can come in, set your coffee down, sit on our cute new couches and furniture - and, wade in. We say wade because you may not be yet ready to dive in or even - go into the shallow end. No matter where you are at - she will meet you where you are - cheering you on, challenging you, and providing research and evidenced based therapeutic care to you, your child/teen, and/or family. You are the expert of your experiences - we are simply here to listen, challenge, advocate, and sprinkle in some evidence and research based modalities.

  • From the Desk of Mallory:

I strive to provide a compassionate, direct, & authentic space for all of my clients. This is what feels truest to me. I am not a blank slate - and you can expect facial expressions from me and a two way conversation. You can also expect a full session to be all about you and your best interests - sometimes that looks like validation, challenging harmful beliefs, assistance with boundaries and communication, working on coping, etc. Therapy is not a one size fits all and I believe in a personalized approach for each individual.

I believe that mental health is a piece to the whole person and showing up as a human being. I believe that mental health should be accessible to all individuals and strive to create a space for clients that feels safe and validating - while also challenging you to heal and reach out of your comfort zone.
